Lahore: Police on Wednesday placed barricades and containers near Lahore Press Club (LPC) and United States (US) Consulate in Lahore, a metropolitan of Pakistan, in order to stop protestors from reaching the sites.
According to sources, the containers were placed near the press club as precautionary measures in order to avoid any mishap during the protests against the anti-Islam film.
Anti-Islam film has sparked violence among the Muslim world with the worst event occurring in Libya where armed protestors killed four US diplomats including ambassador to Libya.
Different journalist and civil society organisations had announced to protest on Wednesday against the film insulting Prophet (PBUH) in front of the LPC, which is near the US consulate.
Different Islamic organisations had also announce to take processions in front of the press club on Friday.
