Hyderabad: Local police has booked Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Haji Nasrullah in blasphemy case in Hyderabad.
The FIR was lodged a day after the PPP leader used blasphemous language when a mob, angry over the US made blasphemous film, was trying to force the shopkeepers to close their business. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl leader Taj Muhammad demanded of the police to immediately arrest the PPP leader for using blasphemous language against the prophet of Islam.
The JUI-F leader said that Nasrullah’s son opened fire on two men, injuring them severely at Halanaka.
Taj Muhammad said that the PPP leader tried to declare the issue as a dispute between the two groups.
“We calls for arrest of Nasrullah and demands local administration to produce him before court,” he told a press conference on Monday in Hyderabad press club.
