Islamabad: A large number of people took to the streets in major cities like Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar against the anti-Islam film and chanted slogans to record their protest.
Members of right wing parties marched on the roads and scuffled with police. However, the situation remain under control as participants belonging to Jamat-e-Islami, Jamat-ud-Dawa and Wehda-tul-Islam and Difa-e-Pakisan Counsel followed the instructions of their leaders to not to turn violent on the footsteps of people in Libya, Yemen and Egypt.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Assembly adopted a resolution, condemning the anti-Islam film by a US filmmaker.
The film fueled anti-Americanism in the Muslim world and furious protesters went on rampage in different countries.
On Thursday , enraged protester stormed US embassy in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital.
Muslim scholars urged US to stop propaganda against the Islam and Prophet Muhammad .
