Islamabad: Pakistan Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday arrested Member National Assembly Ali Musa Gilani, the son of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and a main accused in ephedrine quota case, from outside the Supreme Court.
Sources said that the force arrested Musa when he was trying to sit in his vehicle before attending the court to seek pre-arrest bail. “The ANF personnel pulled Moosa out of his vehicle and took him to their office.”
“Ali Musa Gilani will be produced before the court for remand,” they said.
Khalid Ranjha, the counsel of Musa, said that the act of the ANF was contempt of court, adding that the apex court should take the notice into the incident.
Ranjha added that he would file a application for his bail.
On Thursday, Musa moved the Supreme Court to seek interim relief against a Lahore High Court (LHC) order.
