Kabul: At least three Afghan personnel were killed when four rockets hit a helicopter, belonging to Nato-led forces in Afghanistan’s Bagram airfield on Tuesday, a spokesman for the coalition said.
The spokesman said that two personnel belonging to Nato’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), who were also in the helicopter, were also wounded.
The helicopter was on a ramp in the airfield when the rockets hit.
The attack came a day after the United States handed control of the controversial giant Bagram prison and its 3,000 suspected Taliban inmates to Afghan authorities.
