Karachi and parts of Sindh received heavy rain on Thursday, inundating lowers parts of the province with Met office predicting more downpour as new monsoon system entered the southern province of the country.
Chief Meteorologist Tauseaf Alam said that federal capital and Punjab would receive rain with winds from Friday to Sunday.
He said that there was fear of flood in lower parts of rain affected areas. The met official said that Landhi, Korangi, Gulistan-e-Jauher and Airport received rain.
Electricity of several rain affected areas was suspended while traffic gridlock was also witnessed in parts of Karachi.
