Karachi: The consumption of Samosas and Pakoras suddenly increased in the Karachi as the metropolis received moderate to heavy showers on Wednesday.
Large numbers of people including office workers were seen at the shops selling the traditional foods.
Abid Hussain, an owner of a cloth shop at Tariq Road, while talking to The News Tribe said, “I enjoy every rain in the city with a plate full of Pakoras… Karachiites rarely get a chance to enjoy the rain but after a wait of several months now we have a chance to enjoy the weather and eat Pakoras and Samosas.”
Saleem, a pedlar who sell Pakoras and Samosas said, “I am thankful to god for the rain as it has increased my daily sale…I have sold about 10 kilogramme Pakoras and 6 dozen samosas in now time.”
