Quetta: Following the killing of seven people in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Quetta on Saturday, a shutter down strike is being observed in parts of the city on Sunday.
Hazara Democratic Party and Balochistan Shia Conference have called for complete shutter down to protest against the killing off seven Hazara community people by unknown gunmen on Saturday morning.
Meawhile, one more persons was gunned down in Sariab area on Sunday morning while another man, who was injured on yesterday’s firing, succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
According to a report, different parts of the city including Alamdar Road, Marri Abad Hazara Town observing shutter down strike. The shops and business centres are closed and traffic also remained thin, while the city wears a forlorn look after this gruesome incident.
On Saturday, nine people were gunned down in Quetta in different incidents. Unknown gunmen shot seven people to death in Hazarganji area while two others were also killed during aerial firing of the people protesting against the incidents.
