Lahore: Another sandal knocking at the doors in Pakistan as the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has sent a letter to Punjab Sports Board saying after the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s decision the provincial board has no authority to organise the National Games.
After the letterm, the Punjab Sports Board would not be able to organise the games which are scheduled to be kicked off on September 16. “As per the apex court decision no association can work for more than two terms and the term of current setup of Olympic Association has been completed therefore President of Punjab Olympic Syed Shahid Ali Shah and Secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja could not continue at their posts,” a source quoted the letter sent to Punjab Sports Board.
“Punjab Olympic Association could not organise the games from September 16-22.”
