Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has decided to impose ban on carrying mobile phones to court rooms.
“No one will be able to carry his mobile phone to court room from next weak…Journalists and lawyers have been strictly directed to obey the decision,” The News Tribe Urdu reported on Thursday.
The report added that the registrar of the apex court informed the journalists, who cover court stories, about the decision in his office.
The court has not described the reason behind the ban, however, sources said that the federal government had termed the mobile phones as ‘dangerous’ for the court rooms.
