Sharjah: Pakistan will face Australia in first One Day International (ODI) of three match series in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Pakistan skipper Misbah ul Haq says they will go in the field against the rivals with confidence and positive spirit.
Pakistan who has not won any ODI series against four time world champions Australia since 2002.
The green shirts defeated Aussies in the World Cup 2011 round match. Pakistan lost 4-1 to England in UAE before losing series by 3-1 against Sri Lanka.
While Australia are not passing through their good time as they slid to fourth position in ICC ranking  from number one for the first time in three years after losing to 4-0 to England last month.
Comparatively Australia have edge over Pakistan as both the team played 86 games since 1975 and the Aussies won 52 while the green shirts secured victory in 30.
