Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will appear before Supreme Court on Monday (today), it was decided in a high-level meeting of coalition parties at the Presidency, with President Asif Ali Zardari saying the government will never write letter to Swiss authorities.
According to presidential spokesman, coalition partners will also go along Ashraf.
Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek also attended the meeting besides leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP).
On August 8, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had issued a contempt notice to PM Ashraf for not implementing its order directed him to appear in person before a five-judge bench on August 27 to respond to the notice.
