Karachi: Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, is once again facing a wave of violence after a long period of calm and peace. At least 11 people have been killed in the city since last night, raising questions on the capabilities of law enforcement agencies operating in the city.

02: 30 am- In the latest incident, unidentified men opened fire on a hotel in Sector 10-C area of the North Karachi, resulting in the killing of five people and injuring one other.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi. Although Rangers cordoned-off the area but the police failed to reach the spot on time.
01: 35 am- At least three people have been killed in Sector 5-C area of North Karachi.
12;00 midnight- Two people were killed in FB area of the city, after unidentified men opened fire outside a mosque in Karachi, raising tensions in the area. Aerial firing in area caused shop-keepers to close the markets.
03: 45 am- DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhter visited the spots of firing incidents. No high ranking police officials were able to reach at the spots.
03: 50 am- The five bodies of Sector 10-C area of the North Karachi incident were identified as Zahoor, Sharjeel, Naveed, Shaukat and Atif.
03: 55 am- IG Sindh Fayyaz Leghari directed Karachi Police Chief to submit report about the violent incidents across Karachi.
IG Sindh also directed all SSP’s to stay in their respective areas in order to control the situation.
04:10 am- Eight bodies of North Karachi shifted to Edhi Centre.
04: 15 am- DIG West confirmed 10 deaths from 12:00 midnight. Two in F.B. Area, three in North Karachi and five in Disco Mor.
