Islamabad: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday telephoned Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain and discussed political situation and other problems faced by the country.
President Zardari appreciated Altaf Hussain’s efforts for the stabilty of democracy in the country.
Altaf Hussain also thanked Zardari for conferring national awards to Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul-Ebad and other dignitaries.
Altaf assured President Zardari to continue joint effort in order to resolve the matters faced by common people of the country.
The two leaders also discussed political situation in the country and regional and international events.
President Asif Ali Zardari is visiting Saudi Arabia to attend an extra ordinary summit of Oraganisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), convened by Saudi king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
