Peshawar: A low intensity earthquake shook parts of Punjab, Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhua late on Monday, media reports said.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said that the intensity of the earthquake was recorded 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale and it was centered near Skardu.
The tremors were felt in different parts of KPK including provincial capital Peshawar, Mardan, Swat Shangla, Bunir and Skardu.
Jolts also shook Fata areas including several parts of Khyber Agency and Malakand division. Several parts of Azad Kashmir including Neelum valley and Chakothi sector felt jolts after the quake.
Panic gripped the area as people came out of their houses reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
