Washington: At least seven people were killed and many others wounded in a shooting that took place at a Gurdwara in Wisconsin, a state of United States, media reported on Sunday.
According to reports, the shooting occurred at around 11 am (local time) on Sunday at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek.
Oak Creek police, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department and other law enforcement agencies responded quickly after the incident occurred while the police declined to give further details about the incident.
A witness told law enforcement agencies that the shooter was a heavy build, bald white male wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. He was last seen with two handguns.
According to unconfirmed reports, dozens of people have been taken hostage inside the gurdwara.
