Karachi: Pakistan’s last two athletes Rabia Ashiq and Sprinter Liaquat Ali get injuries before taking part in individual competition at London 2012 Olympics.
Liaquat Ali has to take part in 100m Heats on August 4 but he got cramp in his legs. Rabia Ashiq, who is getting flare of publicity through telecom ads in Pakistan, has developed backache before the first round of 800m race on August 8.
The coach of both athletes Bushra Pervin, while talking with Daily Express, revealed that both athletes had minor injuries due to Mondo track, situated in London.
“They have worked hard in running as trying their level best,” she said and added both Rabia and Liaquat were completely fit.
“They would get use of the track before competition. Cold winds and weather change have affected the performance of our athletes.”
