London: Ansar Barney trust international’s President and former minister of Human Rights Ansar Burney reaches London to meet Burma’s ambassador along with the member of House of Lord’s, Lord Nazir Ahmed.
Few days before Ansar Burney applied for Burma visa for a “fact-finding” mission which was refused a visa to visit Burma.
Ansar Burney applied for visa after reports citing massacre of Rohingya Muslims in Burma emerges and later was confirmed by Amnesty International.
“According to recent unofficial Reports, more than 20,000 Muslims have been killed, tortured and displaced by the extremist Buddhists in Burma’s Rakhine Province”.
The media was not allowed to cover the ruthless killing of Muslims on the basis of religious hatred, unofficial reports and news said.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Coastal teams were ordered to prevent influx of refugees coming though Naf River which separates the two nations.
BGB Major Shafiqur Rehman said “There were more than 300 Rohingya in the boats which are coming from the Myanmar city of Akyab (Sittwe). They were carrying mainly Rohingya women and children, many of whom were crying and looked extremely anxious,” he told AFP.
“All eight boats have been pushed back to Myanmar territory,” he added.
