Islamabad: Muhammad Malick, senior journalist and resident editor of The News, who had also hosted a show Kehne Men Kia Harj Hai at the Geo News, is now likely to join Dunya News, a strong competitor of Geo.
According to reports Malick had had meetings with Dunya New management, which intends to bring out a newspapers in Urdu and English.
Malick will be joining in as an anchor and group editor publications-English and will be responsible for Dunya Today English.
A major shift has been witnessed in Pakistani media, especially within the two leading TV channels Geo News and Dunya News in recent days.
Both the channels locked horns following the leakage of a disputed interview of Malik Riaz on Dunya news. Both the channels accused each other of running campaign against Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Sana Bucha has also resigned from the Geo News, reportedly due to rehiring of Amir Liaquat Hussain.
