Karachi: Almost two dozen containers carrying Nato supply left for Afghanistan on early Thursday morning from Port Qasim Karachi, reliable sources told The News Tribe from Karachi.
“About 150 Nato containers will leave for neighbouring country today from the port,” the sources said.
Meanwhile, the sources said that the extortion mafia has also stop several vehicles carrying the supply and forced the drivers to pay extortion money before leaving for Afghanistan in Maripur Truck terminal.
Pakistan reopened the Nato supply route after the blockade of seven month while the country’s federal cabinet also endorsed the decision of the Defence Committee of the Cabinet.
Pakistan halted the supply routes US attack on Salala check-post on November 26 last year that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
