Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday announced to support the strike call by All Karachi Traders Ittehad (AKTI) against extortion collection from traders, abduction for ransom and other increasing crimes in the city.
All Karachi Tajir Ittehad (AKTI) on Tuesday announced to observe token shutter-down strike on Wednesday.
In a statement issued from MQM Headquarter ‘90’, the party spokesman demanded immediate action against the culprits involved the killing of a trader and brother of former MQM MPA Shakir Ali.
It is to be mentioned here that unknown assailants shot dead a brother of former lawmaker of the MQM, here on Tuesday, after he refused to pay extortion.
The spokesman further demanded that suitable measurements of security should be made in order to safeguard the traders.
