Quetta: As many as 151 militant training camps—121 in Balochistan and 30 in Afghanistan—were in action to escalate the ongoing unrest in Balochistan, Inspector-General Frontier Corps Major General Ubaidullah Khan Khattak claimed.
Harbiyar Marri, Brahamdag Bugti, Allah Nazar and Javed Mengal are operating the camps, he said while speaking to a news conference in Quetta. He added government could root out these camps if it tried hard.
Both Brahamdagh Bugti, the leader of Balochistan Republican Party (BRP), and Harbiyar Marri of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are accused of fuelling insurgency in Balochistan.
The chief of the paramilitary troops in Balochistan claimed that these camp owners were spending billions of rupees to spread a state of unrest.
In the current year, around 550 terrorism incidents have taken place in Balochistan so far, out of which several groups have claimed responsibilities of 258 such incidents, Dawn.com quoted him as saying.
On the other hand, the FC and other security agencies are also blamed for issue of missing persons and violence in the province.
