Islamabad: Though Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani remains optimistic about his party’s victory in next general election, he thinks otherwise for his political rivals Imran Khan and Mian Nawaz Shairf.
In an interview with a private television to be air tonight (Saturday),heĀ claimed that Nawaz Shairf would lose next general election. Gilani declined to comment on Supreme Court verdict of convicting him with contempt. He saidĀ as to why Shairf didn’t tell the court about presidential immunity.
Answering a question regarding Imran Khan,he said the PTI chairman voted Pervez Musharraf in referendum.
Gilani said that he had prepared himself for Adiala Jail jail before the Supreme Court convicted him.
He said that prison was not a big deal for him. Replying a query regarding assassination of Benazir Bhutto, the prime minister said “everybody knows Pervez MusharrafĀ is the murderer of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto”.
Gilani asserted that he would be remembered in the history as the strongest prime minister of the country.
Moreover, speaking at a public gathering in Norowal, Gilani said that Nawaz Sharif didn’t accept President Asif Ali Zardari, Shahbaz Sharif was ready to accept him as prime minister and now Chaudhry Nisar had started speaking that he didn’t accept National Assembly speaker.
Gilani said that Nawaz Shairf should lead a long-march against military dictator instead of going to Jeddah.
