Islamabad: Labeling former President General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf as a traitor over sharing nuclear information with United States, Nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan says he would have hanged former president if has powers to do.
“He had sent Centrifuge machine, a basic thing in development of nuclear weapons, to Viana so what else remains to harm national interest,” he says in an interview with Urdu Daily Express.
“With pressure and power tactics, I had been compelled to confess for a thing what I had never done and had been put in illegal house arrest,” founder of Pakistan’s nuclear program said.
Blaming Pakistan Muslim League’s head Mian Nawaz Sharif as main character in chaos in the country, he views if Nawaz would have collaborated with Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi putting aside his ego the situation would have been changed.
“It didn’t cost him to make Pervez Elahi the governor of Punjab and Shujat a central minister but his ego never allowed him to do so,” he added.
“In upcoming elections, the main damage would be done to Nawaz Sharif by Imran Khan.”
Considered as a national hero in Pakistan over his role in developing nuclear weapons, Dr. Qadeer sees politics as a ‘dirty job’.
“My conscious will never allow me to participate in politics,” he added to his notion.
But he advised all ‘right minded’ parties to get together to put the country of the present crisis.
He once again criticized performance of the judiciary of the country saying millions of people are waiting for justice.
Dr. Khan says he does not see any war between Pakistan and India in future as both are nuclear states. He also favored mutual trade between the neighboring countries.
