Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the United States forced Pakistan to vacate Shamsi airbase and and close Nato supplies after Salala attack.
He was addressing a joint press conference along with Turkish counterpart Rcecep Tayyip Erdigan after bilateral talks on Tuesday.
Gilani said that negotiations with the US were underway in the light of parliamentary recommendations.
The prime minister said he had informed his Turkish counterpart regarding Islamabad’s new policy guidelines.
He said that international community should recognise Pakistan’s sacrifices.
