Islamabad: Pakistani scientist Dr Mohammed Khalil Chishti, who was imprisoned in India for 20 years, will meet Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here in Islamabad on Wednesday (today).
Sources said that Dr Chishti would spend a busy here in capital as he had to submit it travel documents to Indian High Commission. “He will also meet some other high level personalities today,” the sources added.
Regarding his departure for Karachi, the source close to Dr Chishti said that he would leave for Karachi in evening around 7:00PM PST.
“I lost my hope but thanks to Allah”
On Tuesday at Islamabad airport the scientist said that he was very thankful to Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh for their efforts in his release.
He said that he lost hope for his release but thanks to Pakistani government and especially President Zardari who took keen interest in his release.
“I am very thankful to Allah that it has given me a chance to once again see my homeland in my life,” he said.
He further said that he was very excited to meet his family members and relatives whom he has not seen for many years.
