Karachi: Renowned philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi has said that he has been confined not being allowed to proceed to Lyari to carry out relief work.
Edhi told media on Thursday that police have been deployed outside his residence and office. “I can work in Ghaza and Afghanistan but why not in Lyari,” he said.
He said that SP Chaudhry Aslam called him but he didn’t answer his call. Edhi claimed that there was no gang war in Lyari as he had not been looted in the locality for 40 years.
He demanded that Edhi services be restored in Lyari as he wanted to distribute 100,000 flour bags.
