Karachi: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday contacted Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah via telephone and discussed the tense situation of Lyari, an old society of Pakistan’s city Karachi.
Sources said that the president directed Qaim Ali Shah to take care of all the citizens who have migrated from their houses in Lyari, a strong hold of PPP, due to continuous tense situation in the area.
The President also directed Chief Minister to provide migrants with food and shelter while the sources also said that
“Deputy Commissioner South Jamal Mustafa Qazi was immediately given responsibility to take care of migrants,” they added.
It is to be mentioned here that many families have migrated from Lyari due to intense fight between the miscreants and police.
