Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s decision to send their cricketers to play Pakistan on a short trip to the strife-torn country has been challenged in court.
“The High Court will hear the petition seeking an order to stop the visit at 3pm,” bdnews24 quoted a lawyer as saying.
“The petitioner cites security concerns for seeking such an injuction,” report said.
The two teams are scheduled to play a one-day and a T-20 match on April 29-30 respectively.
On Wednesday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf told reporters in Lahore that Pakistan would provide foolproof security to the visitors. He said that International Cricket Council had approved Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan.
