Islamabad: “Pakistan decided to exempt Pak-Iran gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) import from tax collection” as per Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Pakistan’s meeting agenda available to TheNewsTribe.
According to our business correspondent from Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, summery of the proposal will be submitted in today’s meeting of ECC held in Islamabad will presided by Federal minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh.
According to agenda of the meeting 10 points would be discussed during the today’s sitting of ECC including new proposal of LNG import which would be guaranteed by federal government.
After the approval of new plan 2 companies would be permitted to import 800 Million Cubic Feet (MMCF) LNG on daily basis.
Sources related to ECC also revealed on the condition of the anonymity that Economic Coordination Committeel would also approve 5 million ton wheat buying from formers for the strategic reserves.
Economic Coordination Committee is a federal cabinet level committee responsible for final decisions relating to economy in Pakistan.
