Washington: United States (US) State Department Deputy Spokesman Mark C. Toner on Thursday said that US announcement of bounty on Hafiz Saeed, the founder of banned outfit Lashkar-e taiba, doesn’t meant to disturb the visit of Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari to Ajmer (India).
Giving a briefing to media at State Department Toner said that US was not playing any strategic game against Pakistan.
“Hafiz Saeed was involved in terrorist attacks on India and Afghanistan,” he said adding that he was also involved in Mumbai attacks.
The deputy spokesman said that US was in contact with India regarding Saeed’s case adding that US wanted that justice should prevail in Saeed’s case.
