Lahore: Hours after Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari’s remarks – the Sharif brothers hadn’t enough people to offer funeral prayers of their father and his body had to be brought to Data Darbar– Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif hit back the president saying her grandfather’s funeral prayer was offered by millions in Khaana-e-Kaba on the last Juma of Ramadan in 2004.
“He died in exile,” she wrote on her twitter account.
“Guys do see Zardari’s statements now on TV channels. Wish he had kept this side of him hidden !!,” she tweeted.
She wrote; “While much can be said in response to AZ’s statements, the most becoming response is not to respond. How can one respond to ugliness?”
