Karachi: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has taken notice of deteriorating situation in Gilgit and sought a report from IG police.
At least five people have been killed and more than 40 injured in the area. A curfew was imposed as rival groups continued to target each other.
It is to mention here that hundreds of people have lost their lives in the region due to sectarian rift between militant groups of Shiite and Sunni sects while authorities remained reluctant to find a permanent solution to provide relief to the people.
