Islamabad: The judicial commission of Pakistan on Saturday approved nominations of two candidates for additional judges in Sindh High Court (SHC) while an additional judge was given permanent status and other was given extension in Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The decisions were taken in the meeting of Judicial Commission of Pakistan at Islamabad presided by Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
Out of eight candidates nominated for additional judjes in SHC, two of them named as Nadeem Akhter and Shafi Mohammed were appointed as additional judjes for one year.
The additional judges of PHC named as Yahya Afridi was given permanent status while term of additional judge Sajjad Shah was extended till August.
The suggestions were sent to Parliamentary committee for final approval.
