Karachi: The Pakistan Railways is all set to revive Shalimar Express under the public-private partnership on Feb 24.
Its operation were suspended because of financial constraints.
The railway authorities seemed to overcome the crisis prevailing in the PR as after the inauguration of Business Express.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani would inaugurate the renovated train. The train would cover the destinations from Karachi to Lahore within 18 hours halting at Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rohri and Hyderabad.
The train would depart daily from Lahore and Karachi simultaneously at 6:30am and would have facilities like TV, sophisticated seats and mobile restaurant.
The Shalimar Express consists of five economy class wagons, two air-conditioned wagons and a Parlour wagon. The online-reservations of tickets would start from Feb 16.
