Karachi: Provincial Minister for Tourism Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that Rs.372.340 million will be spent in various development schemes to make Sindh’s excursion and historic sites more attractive for country and foreign tourists.
He was presiding a high level meeting here in his office to review new and on-going development schemes.
Provincial Minister directed the officers concerned to complete on-going developments on time and no negligence would be tolerated and no compromise would be made on quality works. He added, ‘If development schemes are not completed on time, the stern actins will be taken against those officers who are held responsible’.
Mr. Malkani said that foreign exchange could be generated if tourism sector was given proper attentions and our economy could be boosted up. Syed SafdarAli Shah Secretary Tourism told the meeting that Rs.259.027 million would be spent on five in on-going development schemes for the year 2011-12 while Rs113.313 million would be spent on eight new development schemes.
