Perth: Australia are on the edge of winning the Border-Gavaskar series after taking four Indian wickets in just 88 runs in the second day of the third test match in Perth.
India started the innings 208 runs behind, and Rahul Dravid (32 not out) and Virat Kohli (21 not out) will resume on Sunday faced with the climbing battle of saving the test and keeping the series hopes alive.
Australia scored 369 runs in its first innings after a career-best 180 by opener David Warner, who shared a 214-run opening stand with Ed Cowan (74).
Despite the likelihood of winning this Test, the Australians will still be disappointed with their 369 score, an effort that was made by the openers.
Australia began the day on 149-0 and lost the last seven wickets for 79 runs. India was dismissed for 161 on the first day.
Indian bowlers Umesh Yadav (5-93) and Zaheer Khan (2-91) claimed the wickets for India.
