Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has submitted his reply to the Supreme Court of Pakistan over Babar Awan and other PPP minister’s press conference who criticized the apex court on December 1.
The prime minister submitted his rejoinder through Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq, stating that he respected the Supreme Court and the press conference was not contempt of court.
The PM said that the Press Information Department has been used for ruling party’s press conferences since long.
The prime minister said the government believes in civil rule.
The SC had sought PM’s response over the press conference in which Babar Awan and other PPP ministers criticized the Supreme Court over memogate issue.
