Karachi: Pakistan Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhhamad Ali Jinnah on the 135th birth anniversary of the father of the nation.
The Prime Minister wearing the national dress, was accompanied with Governor Sindh Dr. Ishart ul Abad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and members of the federal cabinet.
National anthem was played by children clad in regional attires on this occasion when the Prime Minister entered the mazar (mausolum) of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.The children also presented national songs which was appreciated by the Prime Minister Gilani.
The Prime Minister laid floral wreath at the mazar of Quaid-e-Azam to pay homage and respect to the father of the nation.
He also offered fateha and special prayers for the solidarity, progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the people.
He also wrote his remarks in the visitor’s book at the mausoleum of the Quaid.
