Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and veteran politician Javed Hashmi is likely to join Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on December 25, sources said on Friday.
The sources said that Javed Hashmi, who has been sidelined by the PML-N hawks, has decided to join the PTI which has emerged as third major political force in the country.
They said that Hashmi will announce his joining along with 15 MNAs and MPAs on December 25 during a PTI rally in Karachi.
The sources said that Hashmi has not been receiving phone calls of PML-N leaders for two days.
Talking to a private television, PTI vice president Asif Bashir said that his party would welcome all the political figures who had clean record and didn’t indulge in corruption.
Former foreign minister’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri have also joined the Pakistan Thereek-e-Insaf.
