Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has denied the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) permission to hold a public meeting at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum on Dec 25.
The permission was denied by a division bench of the SHC .
The court directed the party to contact concerned authorities in order to find an alternative venue to hold its public meeting.
PTI’s counsel Maula Bux said the SHC order would be challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Engineer Arif had prayed to the court that the public meeting would harmed sanctity of the mausoleum as thousands of people visited the site on December 25 to offer Fateha on the anniversary of founding father of the nation.
