Karachi: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik a chaired a high-level meeting about law and order here.
The meeting, which was also attended by Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan, discussed the law and order situation in Sindh, particularly in Karachi,
A statement issued here said that the officials concerned also presented report before the participants of the meeting about their performance. Rehman Malik and Manzoor Wasan expressed satisfaction over the performance of the law enforcement agencies with regard to maintenance of peace.
The meeting urged to bound the banks and financial institutions to adopt security measures at their respective offices in accordance with the proposed Shops and Security Bill-2011 which was tabled by the Sindh Home Minister before the Sindh Assembly on Monday.
Additional Chief Secretary Sindh, Waseem Ahmed, IGP Sindh Mushtaq Shah, Additional IG Karachi Akhter Hussain Gorchani, Additional IG Special Branch Rasool Bakhsh Sand, DIG South Commander Shaukat, DIG East Akram Naeem Baroka and other officials concerned attended the meeting.
