Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has reserved its verdict in suo motu case regarding government’s Rental Power policy after completing hearing.
Ministry of Water and Power Lawyer Khuwaja Tariq Raheem had told the court that all the contracts for hiring Rental Power Projects were transparent and nothing was hidden in this regard.
PML-N leader and applicant in the case Khuwaja Asif told media after the hearing that the government did not keep in view national interest while hiring rental power plants.
The court had observed during the hearing that the rental plants had failed to produce electricity despite receiving heavy payments in advance.
