Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e- Islam-Fazl( JUI-F) lawmaker Azam Swati has resigned from his party and the Senate.
Talking to a private television channel on Wednesday, he said he resigned from the post due to rampant corruption and security threats to the country. He sad that he had no differences with his party and he was thankful to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazur Rehman.
Swati was to resign from the Senate in March next year. He said that all the lawmakers should resign as the parliament had become meaningless.
