Auckland: Heavy rain has led to postponement of the Champions Trophy hockey pool matches scheduled for the second day, Sunda, in Auckland.
Miserable wet weather on Auckland’s North Shore has forced the second day programme of hockey’s Champions Trophy to be postponed.
Four games were to be played on Sunday, but driving rain showing no sign of easing and a sodden pitch forced the tournament organizers to postpone the matches scheduled for the day. The postponed matches will likely to be moved to tomorrow, which was meant to have been a rest day.
In Poll A, Pakistan was to face Spain and Ausrtirali VS UK. In Poll B, Germany was to take on Holland while New Zealand had to face South Korea.
