Karachi: Crime Investigation Department police in Karachi on Thursday claimed to have arrested an underworld don name Gulam Patni.
According to SSP CID Fayyaz Ahmed, Police have arrested the accused in a raid in Layari area of the city and recovered heavy arms including Kalashnikov, hand grenades and ammunition from his possession.
He said that the accused admitted involvement in killing of 30 peoples. “The accused was wanted to police in some serious crimes including match fixing.” he added.
“Former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza had nominated Patni in a case of hitching conspiracy to kill him,” the police said.
