Peshawar: A massive gridlock has been witnessed in parts of Peshawar and on the Pak-Afghan border as Pakistan stopped Nato supply trucks and fuel tankers bound for Afghanistan hours after the alliance forces’ raid inĀ Mohmand Agency that killed at least 25 military officials.
Sources said that Pakistani troops stopped the supplies at Torkham, Jamrud, Takhtabaig and other areas.
Ā āWe have halted the supplies and some 40 tankers and trucks have been returned from the check-post in Jamrud,ā Mutahir Zeb, a senior government official told media.
The pre-dawn Nato attack took place around 2 a.m. in the Baizai area of Mohmand, where Pakistani troops are fighting Taliban militants. The sources said that the dead and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where condition of several personnel were critical.
