Multan: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the Nato attack that killed at least 25 military officials in Mohmand Agency.
He said this while talking to media in Multan on Saturday. Gilani said that he was leaving for Islamabad due to Nato attack, cutting short his Multan visit in the wake of the Nato attack.
He said that there was no anxiety of judicial or military rebellion in the country. Replying a query, he said that filing review petition in NRO case verdict was the government’s prerogative.
Earlier, Gilani has contacted President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani to discuss the Nato airstrike.
Gilani has convened an urgent meeting Cabinet’s Defence Affairs Committee to discuss the situation emerging after the Nato shelling.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua said Prime Minister Gilani had condemned the Nato attack and directed the office to take the issue before Nato and the United States.
Pakistan suspended Nato supplies for Afghanistan and a large number of containers and tankers were stopped at different check-posts from entering Afghanistan in protest against the deadly attack.
