London:Former Sindh home minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has handed over evidence against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to the Scotland Yard, sources said on Thursday.
According to reports, Mirza along with Lord Nazir Ahmed met the anti-terrorism branch officials of the Scotland Yard at a police station located in Western London.
They said that Mirza provided documented evidence to the Scotland Yard officials against the MQM leadership.
Later, he told media that he had offered assistance in the Imran Farooq murder case, which had been accepted by the Scotland Yard.
He termed his meeting with the Scotland Yard very productive, saying he had provided them new information which they didn’t know earlier.
Mirza said that he had extended his stay in London on the Scotland Yard request.
A local T.V reported that five officials of the Scotland Yard who have been probing Imran Farooq murder were also present during the meeting.
