Maldives: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has urged the South Asian countries to come forward for the development of the region putting behind their mutual differences.
Speaking the at Saarc conference being held in Maldives, the prime minister said that the time had come to come forward for the progress of people, sharing mutual experiences.
He said that Pakistan gave great importance to the Saarc.
“We must strengthen common cooperation,” he said and added that the South Asian countries should focus on health facilities and illiteracy.
Gilani said climate change was also a common challenge for the Saarc countries. He added that issue of energy crisis should also be overcome.
